People will see the time the email was sent. Will they think I'm a freak or alcoholic or desparate if the time is overnight? And so not offer me an interview?
I am applying for jobs by email in the middle of the night. Does this create a bad impression?
No it proves you are up and willing to work ant hours unlike some people who just apply 9 till 5
Reply:makes you look keen
Reply:Yes, I was thinking that too once, I usually don't send them after 10pm :-) Just prepare the eMail, save it in the draft folder and send it early in the morning.
Reply:No, it won't affect your ability to get an interview. Employers know that people search for jobs and apply on-line when they are at home or in their off hours.
Reply:when I was working in recruitment, I was thinking what has he been doing on the pc at 2am. But to be honest the large amount of CVs you dont even notice that... and it's the CV that matters.
What I would think it means is either they are really keen, or work all day and look for a job all night, or just really love their PC.
It's not bad after all, so chill out and good luck with job hunting!
Reply:Don't worry about the time of day. Very seldom does an HR department look at the hour and minutes. Or for that matter, the resume itself. However, whatever you do, run a Spell Check which will catch such errors as the above "desparate".
Good luck.
Reply:I often thought that but I don't think they will notice the time as sometimes it doesn't get seen by the interviewer.
You go for it and get yourself a good job, I like your enthusiasm
