Sorry friend but there is no Microsoft, Yahoo or other e-mail lottery, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information. The following sites give more information

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this email and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these types of emails. Please remember the thieves who send them are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace.

Reply:That message is both a fake and an outright fraud. Don't give the phishers any of your personal information at all. Spam that scam message straight into oblivion right away. This is one lottery you'll never win because it's "bogus."

Another thing, the phishers telling you to "keep this lottery information confidential" would indicate to you not to say anything about this to anybody until they have finished scamming you.
Reply:Did this email say you won through random email selection and only 5 are chosen a month? Did they want your mailing address and a copy of the winning numbers attached?
Reply:sounds like a scam!

What the hell is 820,000lb anyway? The British currency is the 拢.
Reply:Are you kidding me??? Of course it's a scam, why do you even OPEN those?? They wire it to you and then they have your bank account numbers. Tell them you want it mailed to you, in a box, if they can't afford the postage then they can take it out of your winnings. If they wont do that then honey, let it go.

Would you percieve this email as a threat?

I'm sorry you are such a wuss, should have known by the company you hang with. Now I told you to leave me alone.I sugest you take that advice. It only gets worse from here.Don't ever contact me again with your nonsense and maybe I'll let this pass. However don't count on it little punk.

i feel its a threat. i'm sure yahoo will as well.
Would you percieve this email as a threat?
Yes it is clearly a threat. Expect to get a LOT of violation reports from this person who probably has multiple accounts.
Reply:lol - The words 'wuss' and 'punk' tell me I've gotten some emails from this same character just recently. I just deleted them. I couldn't even remember his name. So much for the impression he made upon me.

You should do the same thing.

Hey, is this the guy who has no email link through Answers, gives out his email address and ask that you respond directly through your own email. If so, DO NOT do that.
Reply:I 've had so many from him I ignore them hes got some yank with yahoo, but yes its a threat, and considering hes not in the us unless yahoo does something what can you do
Reply:A threat? Not much he can do from Belgium, is there?

Geeze, two days ago, the two of you were all buddies and stuff. What happened? You try to share YOUR polical pov?
Reply:A LOT of people do not act in a mature way on this site. It is not a nice email but I would ignore it for now.
Reply:Freedom of expression is always there! But why should you be afraid if you are not guilty?
Reply:probubly.

but i think the guys an idiot as well, so do as you will.
Reply:Yeah...Some people just can't handle the opposition...They resort to this hatemail...makes 'em feel big and manly...Either say it out in the open or shut up about it but don't hide behind hatemail...
Reply:HEHEHE! Who did YOU piss off??? That's FUNNY!

I remember that name.....I thought he got booted....
Reply:By itself, that email isn't threatening to me. He can tell you to leave him alone, and he can add to that conditions, such as, or "else".

Now, if it's obvious, through a pattern of communications that "or else" is violence, well then it'd be a threat. But by itself, it's nothing, other than someone telling you to leave them alone.

How to make a document in Adobe Indesign cs3, and email it to people as a HTML document? Is this possible?

I am designing a newsletter using Adobe Indesign cs3. I am trying to email this newsletter to people in HTML format. How do I do that? Or is there another format I can convert it to (other than PDF) that EVERYONE I send it to will be able to open and read?
How to make a document in Adobe Indesign cs3, and email it to people as a HTML document? Is this possible?
Html might work, but I don't understand why you don't want to export to PDF and send it that way, since it is essentially a universal format that anyone can open and read, either with Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is a free download, or various other options (such as Preview on the Mac.) The only other possibility might be .rtf (rich text format) but I don't think ID does this, or if it does, you won't preserve all the formatting you've done. PDF really is the best way to go.
Reply:The closest InDesign can do is export your content as XML. From there it can be converted to html with Dreamweaver, Coda or whatever you prefer to edit HTML with.

I haven't tried it myself, but what you're trying to do is one of the features in InDesign's newest version.
Reply:most people should have pdf viewer installed, you can export as jpegs but other than that there is no way, unless you imported the pdf into flash and made a booklet.

Somebody made a fake email using my name and now they are instant messaging me. How do i find out who this is?

I am being severly cyber-harrassed in more ways than this I think im dealing with a serious hacker here. How do I find out whose email this is. I tried the reverse email lookup but it only give the ip and asks you to pay for any extra information which I think would be useless because this person would not use his/her information to make me a fake email.

Try contacting the website administrators of the websites you've been harassed on. Report that someone has been doing this to you, in detail and ask them for any help.
Reply:It's probably just one of your friends messing around with you. I highly doubt its a serious hacker.

How do you get to another email address. this would be a second one its set up but dont know how to get to it?

I have the pass word just dont know how to get to the email to acsses it
How do you get to another email address. this would be a second one its set up but dont know how to get to it?
Well if its just another free Yahoo account then you can only be signed into one at a time on your computer.

SO, in order to access a second account you would need to first click on SIGN OUT from your account - then SIGN IN using the user ID and password from the second account you created.
Reply:you just act like you don't have one and check register and make up a new one. I have three. Yahoo will know it so make sure you arrange your options the way you want for each yahoo account.

I am applying for jobs by email in the middle of the night. Does this create a bad impression?

People will see the time the email was sent. Will they think I'm a freak or alcoholic or desparate if the time is overnight? And so not offer me an interview?
I am applying for jobs by email in the middle of the night. Does this create a bad impression?
No it proves you are up and willing to work ant hours unlike some people who just apply 9 till 5
Reply:makes you look keen
Reply:Yes, I was thinking that too once, I usually don't send them after 10pm :-) Just prepare the eMail, save it in the draft folder and send it early in the morning.
Reply:No, it won't affect your ability to get an interview. Employers know that people search for jobs and apply on-line when they are at home or in their off hours.
Reply:when I was working in recruitment, I was thinking what has he been doing on the pc at 2am. But to be honest the large amount of CVs you dont even notice that... and it's the CV that matters.

What I would think it means is either they are really keen, or work all day and look for a job all night, or just really love their PC.

It's not bad after all, so chill out and good luck with job hunting!
Reply:Don't worry about the time of day. Very seldom does an HR department look at the hour and minutes. Or for that matter, the resume itself. However, whatever you do, run a Spell Check which will catch such errors as the above "desparate".

Good luck.
Reply:I often thought that but I don't think they will notice the time as sometimes it doesn't get seen by the interviewer.

You go for it and get yourself a good job, I like your enthusiasm

Does anyone know how to fix this email error?

"The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.optonline.net', ...No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E."

Please only answer if you have solved this problem on your computer before. I have Outlook Express 6 %26amp; only one identity on it. Thanks.
Does anyone know how to fix this email error?
While there can be a number of things that could cause this the person above me is correct in what he has added. Basically the email program wasn't able to connect to the sever. There are reason why this could have happened.

1) You have no connection to the Internet

2) Outlook Express might have forgot the password. Try reentering your password.

3) You winsock.dll file could be missing or their could be two winsock.dll files. Someone might have installed an extra winsock.dll file. (this is doubtful though)

4) Maybe your firewall is preventing your email program from accessing the Internet. If you can surf the web then you should be able to get your email to work.

5) If you have Windows XP this is a common problem of not setting up a user account from the time you first bought your computer. I have had this problem several times.

.....All computers are setup from the store to run as the administrator. What you need to do is to create a second account in the user accounts and give that account administrator privileges. Then re setup your email account under that user account. Try your email again and see if you can get your mail now. In fact try the 5th option first (creating a new user account).

The user accounts is in the control panel
Reply:The server was too busy when you tried to connect. Try again later.

If this happens all the time, call your ISP - it's their problem.

Can I use email to resolve a dispute over faulty goods bearing in mind that this may end up in court?

I bought a 拢50,000 motorhome new from a UK dealer and it's been terrible, every holiday we've ended up in the garage. I'm now considering legal action and this will probably end up in court. Would evidence by email stand up in court as oppossed to posted letters? Thanks.
Can I use email to resolve a dispute over faulty goods bearing in mind that this may end up in court?
Probably but the key issues will be the extent of the suppliers contractual responsibility for defects and the extent and therefore contractual signifigance of those defects ( as well of course as the evidence for them). Any pre-purchase emails could be relevant in defining contractual responsibility but would have to be read alongside any written contract for the sale as such.

Post contract emails are also part of the picture but the more important evidence will be evidence about the state and condition of the motorhome.Courts usually expect this to be provided by expert report(s) from someone with recognised technical expertise on the vehicle.

As 拢50K is at stake and as it seems to have been going on for a while you should go to a solicitor soon to get some advice on how to proceed and write some initial letters for you.The emails will probably come in handy at some stage but the solicitor will have to worry about them as and when the time comes.
Reply:Indeed you can just be sure to keep those emails safe.

Good Luck
Reply:I don't see why not if you print off any e- mails which relate to this dispute it would be documentary evidence in any claim

you are pursuing.
Reply:Ask for confirmation that the email was received and read , in this day and age email is as common as as any other form of correspondence

What do you think this text/email acronym stands for from a guy I dated--FNA?

What does this stand for--FNA? I bet the first letter stands for the word friend. A guy I'm dating used it in a sentence %26amp; I can't tell what it means. Here is the sentence: "How are you my Kissiliscious FNA?" The guy emailed me this question, but I don't know what FNA stands for in this sentence. Thx.

When I send a picture from my phone to email, it becomes really blurry. How do i change this?

I have a razr v3i. the first few times i sent a pic from my phone to email, the pic quality would be 10x times better than what it looked like on my phone. Now, when i send it, the quality is terrible. I'm pretty sure i didn't change any settings. What's wrong?!? help! Also, i have a usb cord. can i transfer pics from my phone to computer through that?
When I send a picture from my phone to email, it becomes really blurry. How do i change this?
yeah, if you have a usb cable download the program bitpim, you can import and export, photos, movies, ringtones and everything else.
Reply:It's possible that the pic quality is bad because of the format that you are saving it in. You can save pic as a MMS template and those pics when you trans them aren't really that great. You can def transfer pic file using a cord but you will also need software from motorola called Motorola phone tool which can be purchased from an electronic store or motorola about $29.99 (maybe I can hook u up with the soft if you ask nicely) with that soft you can trans music, pic and even sms/mms. Hope it helps.
Reply:Well, sometimes the picture quality will be better if it is a picture of something smaller. Bigger pictures are usually more blurry from cell phones to computer.

Usually there isn't a setting for this, becuase cell phone images aren't usually suggested for sharing via computer. Usually via picture messaging.

Now you have a USB cord for your razr because it is Verizon and has V-CAST?

If that is the case, you may not be able to transfer pictures from computer to phone or vice versa.

But if it isn't a USB cord for V-CAST, I would try to do a test picture [like a picture of a penny]. Do a test drive to see if the picture will go through the USB cord to the computer.

If it does take the picture, there may not be a difference in image quality if you sent it from cell phone to computer [through picture messaging]

My history teacher is making us email him our answer to this question for homework..?

I don't quite understand his question. The subject he teaches is world history. The question he is asking is

" Besides WWI and WWII, what part of the content do you think will be the most interesting? (choose only one topic)"

We have to respond with at least two sentences. So far i have

"I think that pearl harbor would be the most interesting content in World War II."

What else i can say? i need one more sentence..am i even answering his question?
My history teacher is making us email him our answer to this question for homework..?
He is asking besides WWI %26amp; WWII what other world history event do you think will be the most interesting?

Pearl Harbor is not World History, it is United States History.

Didn't he give you a curriculum so you can have an idea of what some of the world events are to pick from?

About the Cold War, you could say it will be interesting to learn how we went from sharing a common enemy with the Soviet Union to being enemies ourselves.

Contrary to popular belief, the Cold War was not won without a shot being fired. In fact, at least 382 American servicemen were killed by hostile fire in the global conflict. This comprehensive, one-of-a-kind book (Cold War Clashes) details the unknown engagements, deadly shoot-downs and covert operations of the 45-year struggle with international communism, told by the men who were there. You'll stand with GIs and Marines in early face-offs in Czechoslovakia, Italy, Austria and North China. You'll ride the razor's edge with the armored cavalry along Germany's Iron Curtain. You'll track Soviet subs across the seven seas and fly aerial reconnaissance missions in hostile skies. From the crisis in Berlin to deadly firefights on Korea's DMZ to the actions in the Dominican Republic, this book gives unparalleled recognition to the armored cavalrymen, submariners, aerial reconnaissance crews, intelligence operatives and others who won the Cold War. The book features more than 100 illustrations and photos, plus 15 maps; an 8-page, illustrated combat chronology; countless real-life accounts from the veterans who served up front; 23 special features on fascinating facets of the war; a recommended reading list of nearly 100 informative books; and the first-ever honor roll of the 382 known fatal U.S. combat casualties of the Cold War.
Reply:His question is in the framework of the rest of world history, besides WWI and WWII.

I would suggest you first think of the whole collective of history (Egypt, Greeks, Romans, Dars Ages, Medieval period, Renaissance etc). Zero in on what you would find fascinating to learn more about (like the people, fine art, customs, religion...whatever YOU would like). Then structure your answer around why that period or element holds your interest.

It sounds like you have a pretty cool teacher. If he is asking what you would like it might be that he is trying to make sure he covers what people would enjoy. He might also be trying to create projects or project ideas that would touch on things his students would enjoy learning about.

I hope you have an amazing year!
Reply:I always found the gunposder plot and the history of the plague quite interesting. Pearl harbour occured during WWII I think so it doesn't count "besides WWI and WWII". I think he wants you to email him something about another historical event. How penicillin was invented is also kinda interesting :-)
Reply:I think he is asking for something in world history that you find interesting and then a sentence about why you think that is the most interesting topic about world history.
Reply:I hope that you have worded the question carefully and correctly.

Besides WWI and WWII, what part of the content do you think will be the most interesting?

Since the question starts off with the word besides it should be interpreted to EXCLUDE World War I and WW II.

He is probably asking about the remaining curriculum in world History.

I would say something like : I find the Cold War the most interesting . If the Cold War turned into a hot war the world could have been destroyed since both sides had atomic weapons.

Good luck in World History.
Reply:I think he's referring to what you're going to learn this year. So your sentence is not answering his question. It's more like, "What in World History Class do you think is going to be the most interesting to learn about?"
Reply:I think he wants to know what else on the syllabus you are interested in, not the World wars at all. For your first sentence say what else you'd like, and for your second expand on why.
Reply:i think he means any other world history topic besides ww1 or ww2

Reply:try to make a fine search to the yahoo and the google ......good luck

sorry I couldn't help.

Someone is using my email account with out my permission. Is this illegal?

Just this week, somebody has started to use my email account without my permission in order to advertise porn. The oddest part is that it is not just one individual using my account, but several different names. Is this considered illegal, and if so, how should I go about contacting law enforcement agencies?
Someone is using my email account with out my permission. Is this illegal?
Just change your password to something impossibly complicated or contact the email provider and have them terminate the account and start another one.

I doubt that you will have much luck with prosecution.
Reply:How are they using your e-mail? Are they sending to others from your address? Or, are others sending it to you? If they're using your address to send it to others, it is theft and you can indeed file a police report. You should contact your web administrator(s) ASAP if that is what is going on. If the latter, then there is nothing you can do about it. Just hit the "spam" button.
Reply:Yes it is
Reply:Have you thought of changing your password?
Reply:All email addresses end up as the forged "From:" address on spam sooner or later, and then some time in the future.

Don't worry about it, no one thinks it really came from you.

What do u think about this email I got today?

You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me "Whiteboy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman" .and that's OK.But when I call you, ******, Kike, Towelhead, Sand-******, .Camel Jockey,Beaner, ****, or Chink you call me a racist. You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why .are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live? .You have the United ***** College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day.You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day.You have Yom Hashoah .You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi .You have the NAACP.You have BET.If we had WET(White Entertainment Television) we'd be .racists.If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists. If we had white history month, we'd be racists. If we had an organization for only whites to "advance" our .lives, we'd be racists. If we had a college fund that only gave white students .scholarships, you know we'd be racists.
What do u think about this email I got today?
I understand both sides.
Reply:I really wish we could stop the hatred %26amp; predjudice in this country ... It is just so sad to me....
Reply:I guess he has some good points, but on the other hand, my ancestors weren't the ones executed by the millions in Nazi slave camps, nor were they working their asses of in the cotton fields in the 1800s. There's a strong, negative economic correlation between being white and being poor; a lot of organizations that exist to benefit blacks are just trying to even things out.

Besides, I have never been called a racist. This guy obviously has, and I think he's trying a little too hard to rationalize some of his own attitudes and behaviors.

And to top it all off, it's probably not what you wanted to see in your inbox. Spam!
Reply:dont agree with it......how come its meant for black people!!not just black carjack, beat up,e.t.c whites!! some whites beat up their own race!!! and i didnt like the part when it said are the ghettos the most dangerous place to live...ther is no such thing only blacks live in ghettoS!!im white and that e-mail is stupid
Reply:This has a lot of truth to it. i can honestly say I was not a racist, until I lived among the blacks. I was always of the principle that you should hate a man for who he is, not what he is, but it becomes extremely difficult when exposed to the lifestyles and habits around me.

I hear all the time among blacks that other blacks are "acting white", or anytime a situation seems unfair, race is thrown out as a justifiable reason.

In the city where I lived, the Italians were prominent for years. Yes there were problems, but the lawns were mowed, and the streets were safe. Now its overrun, and you wouldn't dare live there or invest in a home.

Its sad that a race can deteriorate any area they live, and are okay with it.

Regrettably, I totally agree with the email.
Reply:You got that in an e-mail?

And no, I DON'T agree with it.
Reply:umm, well i am white... actually, i am an american. I dont dicriminate at all! i think its bull sh1t....

there two stereo types i hear of a lot, and in some way, acoording all my friends (of all races) are in some way agreeable.

there are the white people vs. the white trash

there are mexicans (hispanics) vs. wet backs

and there are black people vs ******$.

Yes its wrong to stereo type the good vs. the bad.

i love all ppl no matter their race, heritage, religion, size or gender.....

But we have to admit, we think white ppl living in trailors doing drugs and stealing/using people are just trashy!

we think that mexicans who come here not knowing one word of english and having babies at 13 are just plain idiots and NEED to go back to mexico.

And.... we think black people who dont know how to shut up, and are 76% affiliated with "gangs" are ghetto...

I think its all bull like i said, but you have to admit, stereotypes didnt just get made up, everyone in the world is stereotyped.

anyways, i think the e-mail is 50% true.

Reply:i m neither a black nor a white.but i understand that some sections of the society hav been opressed by our forefathers and it is ethical for us to provide them some opportunities, meant exclusively for them, to progress and come to par with the others.i agree with u that not everybody's a racist and people should stop calling a guy like u gave the example of a policeman a racist, but u should understand about the college funds and stuff.we have to undo the opression done by our forefathers.
Reply:I would really be interested to know what others think of this subject, as an overweight white woman I have been called many names, looked down upon, sneered at and most times just ignored...prejudice is everywhere not just in race.
Reply:I agree with it. Blacks have all those things set up to help give them a better life, but the vast majority do not work for it. They would rather take the easy way out and become drug dealers because they think that that is all they can do. I do not believe that I have a racist bone in my body. I treat all man equally. I don't hate blacks, only drug dealers and gang members. That goes for whites, blacks, Mexicans, ETC. But it is true that if we as whites try to do anything like the things listed here it is considered racist. I wish it was not like this but it is. I have never used any racist slurs but have had them used on me. But most blacks will use the racial card to get them out of trouble. If a white person tried that they will be marked as a racist. A black does it the ACLU are all over people. I am not saying all blacks for I now some decent blacks. But the large majority make the hole race look bad. Something needs to be done about them. If more stay in school instead of on the streets they can have a great life, in a great neighborhood, with a great house. B but most give up or do not even try. Then they blame it on the whites. I am not trying to offend anyone and I hope that I do not, but if I do I am very sorry. This is just how I feel. Blacks have more things set up to help them then whites do and they do not take advantage of it, and they should.
Reply:i believe he is right...
Reply:i think that it's some white man's macho-insecurity praying on other self-conscious, needy, young, white males. I definitely think that it's completely ridiculous to think that "the white man 'ain't given nothin' but his white skin" and because of this, white people mistake it for superiority, but it is in fact nothing but diversity.

Logout and login with your email.

But this is pretty strange, since Yahoo mail has a 2 week period for your email to stay active. Has it been longer than 2 weeks?
Reply:on yahoo? click the sigh out button, and just log in to your account.

on the built in email client? wipe the hard drive, then reinstall the OS.

This is to avoid spam. You have to type in the letters you see.

I can understand it now and then, but it does it everytime now.
I keep getting send verify before I send an email. this is to avoid spam.?
it is because more and more spam/scams/frauds/phishing is around, the more there is the more mail services have to restrict it as much as possible

it is there to stop the automated computer spammers that send 100s of emails every minute to random mail users, its just to verify you are a human

yes it gets tedious in the end and annoying but there is nothing you can do about it

Reply:It's a scam, and there are several ways you can tell:

1) If you didn't enter a lottery, there's no possible way you could have won. (Duh!)

2) There's no such thing as a lottery sponsored by Yahoo. Or Microsoft, or MSN, or Earthlink, for that matter.

3) If you're a US citizen, it's illegal for you to participate in an overseas-based lottery. So as with #1 above, there's no possible way you could have won.

4) If you play the lottery, the obligation is on **you** to find out whether you've won (by checking the lottery results online, on the TV news, in the paper, etc.). And if you do win, the obligation is again on you to make contact with the appropriate lottery officials to present your winning ticket and claim your prize. The lottery is not going to send you an e-mail from out of the blue saying that you've won eight million dollars (or however much) and that you need to furnish information to claim your prize.

You can learn everything you need to know about lottery scams at websites like snopes.com, scambusters.org, or just by doing a Google search on "lottery scam."

How can I get YAHOO to restore my email service to the original? I did not ask for this revised type/Horrible!?

Suddenly (8/22/08) copies of my sent email are no longer kept. Drafts of composed mail can only be a very few characters chopping compositions to pieces. In fact nothing is GOOD about it any more. I want the original back. I don't know why they find it necessary to take a decently functioning program and destroy it with a piece of junk.

you'd need to check your group settings. when you send invites, it by passes the approval so it could be an invitd person. your group logs under memebrship will tell you if that person was sent an invite, when they joined and who approved them.

most times, the answer is quite easy once you take a gander at the logs.

I got an email from UC Berkeley about filling out another supplemental questionnaire. Is this good or bad?

Here's what it says: [Does it mean they needed me to make my app stronger? Why are they asking for more short answers?]

We鈥檝e begun our comprehensive review of your application and are writing to ask you to fill out an additional supplemental questionnaire. Each year we ask a small group of students for additional information to enhance their application. We can鈥檛 emphasize enough that this information can only strengthen your case.
I got an email from UC Berkeley about filling out another supplemental questionnaire. Is this good or bad?
Make sure you go back and review your application and note any errors or omissions (you will want to incorporate corrections in the answers to the questionnaire). Receiving the questionnaire means that whatever information you provided to the admissions office in your application wasn't enough to help them make a clear decision, so answer each question in detail, give examples when appropriate to paint a complete picture of any hardships/struggles you've had. Keep in mind that you need convince the admissions office that you have done everything you can to achieve. You can always politely point a finger at the school (lack of resources, not offering enough courses, scheduling conflict, etc.) or any personal situation. But keep the focus on what you did to try to overcome those obstacles.
Reply:I am in the exact same position. I got mine from UCLA though. At first, I was..horrified. Because I thought it meant my application wasnt good enough. But they only want further knowledge about you, and what your capable of. My counselor told me that this is YOUR chance to control your outcome. Give them some terrific answers, and prove to them that their first impression was right. You should get in. Remember, they choose a "small group," they want to give you another chance. The supplemental questionnaire for UCB is different that UCLA's im sure. For mine, I have to write 2 essays! As well as put my grades in for 1st semester(fingers crossed, I got 1 C in Calculus AP, my first C in 16 years of my life.)

Good luck, :)
Reply:I would definitely fill it out as best you can. I have a doctorate and have served in the field of education for many years. I would not worry. Sometimes universities want to narrow down the field or just want additional information. I'm sure you'll do fine! :-)
Reply:Sounds like you might be on the borderline and they are looking deep into your writing skills. Or possibly they think somene else wrote your essay.
Reply:You're on the borderline. It would only help to fill it out.

I remember receiving a similar kind of mail from someone (don't remember the name as I immediately reported it as spam without giving any attention to the name). It said that someone wanted to deposit money in my bank and had asked me to send my bank details. As i mentioned earlier, I deleted the mail and would request you to do the same. Please do not give away your bank details to anyone as it is obviously going to be misused by them. They want your bank details not to give you any money but instead take your money out of your bank.

How do I reactivate my old Yahoo account to retrieve my stored emails? This happened after the new Yahoo email?

Do you close accounts due to inactivity?

Yes!. Accounts are deactivated and removed after four months of no use.

When an account is deactivated, you won't be able to access it, regardless of whether or not email has been received in the account during that time.

And sorry, but we can't retrieve any of the information that was formerly stored in it.

Note: With Mail Plus, your account will never go dormant due to inactivity. Check it out!

What if I send him this email and don't get on the course?

It depends what you say in the e-mail.

You could always say how disappointed you were not to get on the course.
What if I send him this email and don't get on the course?
Why wouldn't you get on a course if you send someone an email...unless of course you are trying to bribe someone into letting you onto a course!
Reply:What email?...
Reply:What email? what course? You need to give us someting to work with here!!

How would you respond to this email...?

This came from a straight neighbor we've known a long time. I know it is meant to be 'funny' but it just hasn't set well with me. Am I incorrect in thinking it may be a little passive aggressive? The reason I say passive aggressive is because it's so stupid and really pointless. Do you think my neighbor is giving us (gay couple) a diss or she is plain stupid?

The end of civilization...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uvq6D8UpO...
How would you respond to this email...?
LMAO....that's hilarious... Seriously what would the world be like if that was how Adam and Eve Met. Btw, I would tear eve up... damn. As far as your neighbor goes, blow it off, if you have a good relationship with her, she's just trying to humor you. Don't take it the wrong way.
Reply:Uh it was meant to be funny...and it wasn't even that. So your neighbor tried to share his/her sense of what is or isn't funny and failed..move on
Reply:i think he saw it and thought it was funny
Reply:LOL Better to go out laughing than crying or dissing others.
Reply:Lol it's funny that video. Still laughing lol.

Nah she's just probably sending it to you as a joke.

As long as she doesnt hate you all the time it's okay.
Reply:Not sure what she's trying to say, but I'd send her a nice video of two girls kissing and write "You know you like it.."

LOL
Reply:I can see why you think she was mocking you. It might be true. Or maybe she thought you would have found it funny? Either way, it was not a good idea for her to send that to you.

P.S. THAT WAS HYSTERICAL!!

No offense, honest.
Reply:I'm bi and I think it's funny
Reply:personally i think you need to lighten up a little bit...

It was just meant to be funny... Its no different than some of the straight jokes i've heard...
Reply:ITS FUNNY

learn to laugh at yourself
Reply:lmao. no clearly it was just a joke something to cause laughter, don't take it serious.
Reply:It made me laugh. I think you may well be reading way too much into your neighbor's action, take it for what it is; in this case a joke that you didn't find funny. I think your neighbor probably thought you'd find it amusing, if they'd wanted to make a snide attack on you I think it would be far more blunt than this!
Reply:ok . she was just being funny. to her it might have been funny if she is straight because if your the only straight female on the planet then that would suck. she was just sharing do not take yourself so seriously!

oh yeah! and i am pretty sure you were not the only person she sent it to. you might have been on a friends list.
Reply:To answer your question, I wouldn't respond to it. That said, I actually think it's funny even though it is clearly targeted toward heterosexuals. She is likely a little oblivious to other peoples feelings, but many people are. I think if she had it out for either gays or you particularly, you would already know it. Good luck.

1) Do not set your automatic login settings. Don't allow the computer to remember your password or username. Clear all cookies related to your e-mail from your browser, if you've already done that.

2) Set up a sign-in seal, if this is a Yahoo account. This protects from phishing, where someone creates a fake website to get your account informatiion. Go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/securit...

3) Whenever you log into your mail, ALWAYS sign out. Then, close the browser.

Is this a good email to send to a guy who appears to just want to have sex with me?

Even though I had an excellent time w/you last night, I'm not into just having a sexual fling and I sense that you are, so we would both be better off not going out again. Or, should I say this over the phone? In person? He seems to be the type who would b.s. me %26amp; say he is into me for more than sex, but then again, he seems like he wouldn't want to out %26amp; out lie. Thx.

DO it in person. Make him talk don't say much. Say so where is this going? So are we exclusive or what. Wait for his answer. Sounds as if you already know.

It is always to some degree hurts a little but is satisfying to see them squirm. As you say oh well this is what I want "...." so if you find your ready for that one day and I am available give me a call. And walk on...

I have received job visa for Dubai through email. Would it be enough to show this at Dubai Airport?

I mean to ask that Email copy of Job visa is acceptable at Dubai Airport? Or do I need a Fax Visa Copy? Thanks.
I have received job visa for Dubai through email. Would it be enough to show this at Dubai Airport?
Yes that is enough unless it is required from your origin country to show the original (e.g. India and Philippines). If it is not required, you can take the copy and the sponsor will drop your original visa at the visa counter in Dubai airport. You can pick up your original visa upon showing your visa copy and passport, right before you do your eye scan and immigration check.
Reply:Just enter the country as a tourist and deal with your work papers through your company. They will file all of this when you report to work. My sis lives there and I have traveled many times there on my way to Iraq. I always stop over to visit my sister. I go in as tourist. I guess this would be providing your an American cit..... Not sure if your not. Never hurts to carry the e-mail however why not go as tourist to prevent any trouble as you enter,.
Reply:copy of your email is enough. my brother live in dubai and he did the same.

Use the one email for when you sign up for ANYTHING and only give out the other one for correspondence email. Otherwise, you'll get just as much spam in the new email.

Some one sent me money to my email through paypal. Now how can i get this money?

I have an account but where this money will go so that i can withdraw it? I have never used paypal before.
Some one sent me money to my email through paypal. Now how can i get this money?
BEWARE the person saying they sent money is trying to trick you. It is a total SCAM designed to do you harm.

The only way you can get cash is if you already have established an account with paypal.com. DO NOT click on any links they provide! Your paypal account is linked to your email specifically because email is used to notify you of sent money (wire transfer) to your bank account. The person telling you this wants you to contact them or click a dangerous link they provided on the email.

Take the appropriate action by deleting the email notice since the sender is trying to trick you by phishing for your credit card and bank info. There is also the possibility that they can be sending you malware/spyware and other computer killing viruses if you click on anything in their email to you.
Reply:It's not a scam if you know the person who sent you the money or you sold them an item through an online auction. I don't know why everyone is freaking out here, Paypal is a completely legitimate website.

You can transfer the money to your checking account using the links within your Paypal account (use only these links!) If you start using Paypal more often, you can sign up for a Paypal debit card, but they take 3% of all of the funds you receive.

Also, transferring the money directly to your checking account takes 3-5 business days. Weekends and holidays don't count as business days, so if you try to transfer the money any later then Tuesday or so, you probably won't get it until Monday.
Reply:If you have Paypal you have to have linked it to a bank account. Otherwise you wouldn't have been able to establish the Paypal account. That's how it works. Transfer the money to the bank account, go to the bank and withdraw it. Simple. If you don't have a Paypal account and / or you didn't earn / ask for this money then it's a scam. Don't fall for it.
Reply:Be CAREFUL that it's not a scam. You need to make sure that you have the cash in your hands before you send the item to them.

You need to link your PayPal account up to your bank account. At that point, if it actually goes to your bank, then you shouldn't have any issues, and you can go ahead and send the item!
Reply:On the paypal website, click the tab that says My Account

select the option withdraw

then you will see an option that says Transfer to Bank Account. click that.

You'll be brought to a screen where you type in the amount you want withdrawn, and select your bank account.

ta daaa
Reply:you need to add your bank account to paypal. then you transfer the money to your bank account. DO NOT send the item until you see the money in your Paypal. If you dont see it in your paypal and they say its there, there most likely to be a fraud.
Reply:Log into your Paypal account and under the 'My Account' tab, go to Withdraw. It'll allow you to hook up the Paypal account so you can transfer the money to your bank account. You can use a credit card or just general bank information. Hope I helped.
Reply:The money that has been sent goes into your bank account that you set up when you made the account.
Reply:It goes to your bank account and you can withdraw it from there.
Reply:go into your account, press withdraw and how much it will be paid into your bank.
Reply:ITS A SCAM!!! I GET THOSE ON MY YAHOO ACCOUNT ALL THE TIME....DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OUT....IF YOU THINK ITS LEGIT CONTACT/EMAIL PAYPAL AND ASK THEM!!!

Every so often I receive junk mail from my own email address? How do they do this?

I know all about Phishing, so I don't think that's what is happening. And I've changed my password just to be safe. Has anyone had this problem?
Every so often I receive junk mail from my own email address? How do they do this?
E-mail messages are really just specially formatted text messages, but your e-mail program hides the formatting from you. The Sender e-mail address is nothing more than a line in what's called the header of the message that says who it's from. This is no guarantee it's actually from the person with that e-mail address.
Reply:i don't know how they do this but i'm guessing that it's yahoo selling a product or trying to sell you a product they're endorsing. you can always block you're own address.

Have you received this email?

I sincerely think it's a scam. The email claims to be from Yahoo Administrative management and solicits addresses and passwords with the claim there is a virus attacking the system and it's necessary to find where the virus is going to attack. If any of you fall for this you will have to discontinue your email address that you submitted and change all of your firewall information.
Have you received this email?
Yes it's a scam. Yahoo! would never request personal information in an unsolicited email. "Phishing" for your private information These deceptive emails are used to commit identity theft, and lock you out of your yahoo account by changing your password DO NOT respond. See what yahoo say about this with link below.

I want to email this girl I am interested in, any tips? (Girls Only Please)?

I like this girl, but I don't get to see her too often, and we can't really hang out. And she doesnt use instant messenger. I want to start emailing her, just to get to know her better. Are there any tips or things I should be aware of when emailing her?

I know I shouldn't respong immedietly. What makes a girl want to start emailing some one?

I just really like this girl, and want to take every precaution.
I want to email this girl I am interested in, any tips? (Girls Only Please)?
Just send her a casual, breezy email stating the facts.

E.g. "Hi Jane, how are you? Just wanted to say hi, I figure this is the best way for us to chat since we don't see each other often or can't really hang out. What have you been up to?"

P.S. If you want to talk on IM sometime let me know and I will add you to my list.

Right there you have casually showed your interest in her, successfully initiated conversation and subtly encouraged her to start IM-ing.

If she's interested in you she will more that likely start using IM and give you the address as suggested or tell you why she doesn't but encourage email conversations.

Don't be too pushy and come on too strong...get to know her, ask open ended questions -- those that require elaboration (e.g. what's would be your perfect thing to do for summer?) so that she can feel relaxed and open up and talk like she's talking to a friend. The more you guys talk the closer you will get but you've got to be creative in showing her that you like her because you don't want to get stuck in the friend zone. So after a few friendly emails back annd forth say something like "Sometimes I wish we could see each other more...it would be cool to talk in person once in a while" that says without saying it that you want to see her and it doesn't sound like just a friend saying "we should hang out"

Here's something you can do as well, after a few questions back and forth say something like "I'm sorry if it seems like I'm asking a lot of questions...I'd just like to get to know you better" it's better to say it that way than to say "I'm just trying to get to know you". When you say "I'd like to" it says without saying I like you and I like getting to know you better. As opposed to just asking questions to know more about someone.

Good luck hon.
Reply:first of all, im a guy.

but, girls like to know that a guy is interested in them. i dont know your situation but if you really like her and you might think she likes you why dont you send her an email about something you have talked about or a picture of both of you or something along those lines that inspires a response from her which you can turn into a long email chain.
Reply:Just try to be yourself through your messages. Don't feel too hurt if she doesn't get back to you right away, not everyone likes to email..I hate it.

First email keep it short and simple..hows it going, let her know what your up to, do want to hang out, sort of stuff.

If she wasn't the one to give you her email let her know how you got it.

peace and g'luck!
Reply:hmm thats a hard one. Are you sure you guys cant talk at all? If you really cant talk to her in person (which would be a million times better), you could ask for her number and talk to her on the phone. do that because then it shows her that you care about her enough to actually talk to her. The email thing is not going to work out unless you guys are already good friends. Just forget the email.
